DEVELOPMENT OF A SEMIOLOGICAL GUIDE FOR VISUAL-PERCEPTUAL ASSESSMENT IN PEDIATRIC OPTOMETRY

Abstract
The study aims to develop a semiological guide for the visual-perceptual assessment of children in optometric practice, seeking an approach that allows for earlier diagnosis and assertive interventions. Using an integrative review based on publications from the last 10 years, the results emphasize the importance of identifying milestones in visual and neurological development in the first years of life. Thus, the proposed guide is presented as a tool to improve diagnosis and treatment in pediatric optometry, promoting visual health and child development.
